Physical Impact and Interaction
The northern part of this region is mountainous, resulting in less population settlement in that area. Because this region is mostly surrounded by water, the population is high near the edges of the country. Also, many of the cultures that formed here are impacted by being near water, and their interaction with the environment is affected through that. In the arctic region of this sub-region, many humans migrate with their source of food, the reindeer, and don't settle down permanently. This is because of their environment's features.

Border Change
Borders can change a lot in 500 years. Scotland was separated from the UK. Norway was much larger. Sweden covered all of Finland as well as part of western Russia. Denmark went into the edge of Sweden to the far north and east.
